Welcome to Hillstone Academy Preschool
An Academic Preschool in Gilbert, Arizona
Our objective is to assist and support families. Working together, parents and teachers can help children build self-confidence and foster a love for learning. We guide children with a balance of academic and social skills, preparing them for life experiences.
Our daily programs include reading, writing, math, and science using art, music, and theme-based lessons. We make learning fun, giving children opportunities to play and interact with their peers, awakening their individual desires to learn and discover.
Located in Gilbert, Arizona, Hillstone Academy Preschool is the only preschool in the state to offer the Learning Dynamics reading curriculum, which is recognized as one of the nation’s leading beginning reading programs.

Our Learning Strategy
Hillstone Academy Preschool teaches letter recognition and letter sound (phonemes) through music and fun object lessons. As each child progresses, we teach them the concept of blending the phonemes, leading them to decode words and begin reading books. Letter and phoneme lessons are always taught in a group setting. Reading is always taught one-on-one with the teacher at the student’s individual reading level. Each student will progress through the Learning Dynamics books, ending the year with their own library of beginning books.
